VISA
The Canadian Government have introduced new entry requirements to Canada, please see below. Additional information can also be found at the following link: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/visit/index.asp

New entry requirement now in effect
Visa-exempt foreign nationals need an Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA) to fly to or transit through Canada. Exceptions include U.S. citizens and travellers with a valid Canadian visa. Canadian citizens, including dual citizens, and Canadian permanent residents cannot apply for an eTA.

Be prepared: Apply for an eTA before you book your flight to Canada. Most applicants get approved within minutes. However, some applications can take several days to process so don’t wait until the last minute. Applying for an eTA is a simple online process. Most applicants get their eTA approval (via an email) within minutes. However, some requests can take several days to process if you're asked to submit supporting documents. It is best to get an eTA before you book your flight to Canada.

An eTA:

  • is an entry requirement for travellers from visa-exempt countries who fly to or transit through Canada,
  • is valid for up to five years or until the passport you used to apply for your eTA expires, and
  • allows you to travel to Canada many times, and stay for up to six months (the border officer will tell you how long you can stay).

  • The above information refers to people entering Canada by air. If, however, you require a visa to enter Canada, we suggest that you contact the Canadian Embassy/Consulate in your country or ask your travel agent for assistance.
